VEGETABLES

Now during these dire days of COVID19, with more and more people confined at home, it's important to look after our diet. If you are lucky enough to have a garden in your back yard, eating fresh produce is a lot easier, as planting a few vegetable seedlings can give you edible results within a few weeks. Other keen gardeners grow their salad in pots on balconies, terraces and rooftops. The rest of us may need to venture out and shop for our health-giving meals at the supermarket or greengrocer. In any case, eating fresh, seasonal produce can only help your body be protected from all sorts of ills!

  1. Fresh vegetables were readily available the first few weeks but are becoming increasing harder to get your hands on, where we live anyway.

  2. Great advice! I would love to grow fresh vegies here, but we would have to put up a 6-foot fence to keep out all the critters! Hubby and I were just talking about investing in weight loss and rehab facilities - a few of us might need them when this is all over! Thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday, and Happy Easter to you!

  4. I am able to grow vegetables, fruit and herbs in the back yard, but have never had luck with tomatoes. Truss tomatoes are beautiful to look at and to taste.

  5. I ordered and received an artichoke this week as a part of my online order and parking lot grocery store pickup. We are eating more staying indoors so much (and less to do), but at least the meals I've been preparing have been more balanced that when we go out to eat. - Margy
