Osteospermum is a genus of flowering plants belonging to the Calenduleae, one of the smaller tribes of the sunflower/daisy family Asteraceae. The common name is African daisy or Cape daisy.

Osteospermum used to belong to the genus Dimorphotheca, but only the annual species remain in that genus now; the perennials have been placed in the genus Osteospermum. An amazing variety of cultivars have been developed, in a stunning variety of colours. The new "Flower Power Double" hybrids have added more diversity in this versatile and prolific garden bloomer.

  1. So lovely in all its varieties... I know it only in pots.

  2. I like these flowers and have a couple of different ones in my garden. They are so pretty on their own.
